Got there at 130pm. My son and I started with Jammin Jigs crippled minnow under a Rocket bobber and a Cheese marshmellow and a salmon egg. Each of us had two hits upon which we lost the bait. These fish are fiesty. After 1-1/2 hours we just didn't get anything, but we saw fish hitting the surface all over the place. Decided to switch to a Rapala F-5 floating minnow in Fire Tiger color and WHAM!...3 fish each within the next hour. All were 10-12". Don't care about the exact size or weight...not important to us. We caught three each hovering around the deepest spot of the lake, but we drifted quite aways from the deep hole and continued to catch during that last hour. We had to be out of there so left satisfied.
The boat launch was off and on crowded. Folks were nice. Folks were not interfering with boat launching. Everyone seemed to be courteous.
Had a great time. Plan to add my youngest as well when we go out again this weekend.
