Spent memorial weekend down at Panther Lake. More honey do's than fishing taking place, but nice relaxing weekend nonetheless. I'm spoiled from fishing out of my bassboat, so it's always an interesting challenge when I switch over to the john boat, especially with that wind that blows across Panther in the afternoon and evenings! The largemouth on Panther are just starting to move up and I found a few fish on beds. I spent most of my time flipping a 7" green pumpkin power worm on a 3/16 oz tungsten weight to laydown logs in 2 to 5 feet. I caught 3 largemouth between 2 and 3 pounds on that bait, and then I switched up to a Berkley Havoc craw fatty(brown/purple), and flipped up this nice fish. I didn't have a scale so not sure on weight, but a nice healthy fish nonetheless, my wife snapped a quick pic for me and then I released her. The trout fisherman all seemed to be doing very well, and I caught a few incidentals on reaction baits, when I switched up for a bit, but no size. All fish C&R'd.
Tight lines!
