Had a great day fishing, in this case catching. Trolled a green colored, gold beadhead wolly bugger and found out the trout just loved the look and feel of the fly. Cought and released over 15 trout on barbless hook to see another day. Fish averaged 12 inches and some jumped when they felt the barb hit their mouth. Priceless! First time at this lake and trolly for trout. Looking forward to coming back. Lots of fish on the fly! Had a great time!

you said at 1st barbless hooks and then stated ( when they felt the barb hit their mouth) which is it? nice day it sounds like the fly was the ticket.

Tomnordman, that's a good point, no pun intended. I was meaning the point of the hook and it was a great day to be on the water.
