Floated the portabote for only the second time ever on Lake WA. Launched at MOHAI, spincasted around Foster and Marsh islands. Picked up one baby LMB on a green roostertail. Decided to see if I could troll all the way to Madison Park. It took a while, fighting a headwind, and wakes from bigger boats, but I made it there. Ate lunch sitting on a park bench while two crows stared at me patiently waited for scraps. I gave them none, but they jumped the crumbs as soon as I was 3 steps away.

Decided to head back and troll a worm on my spinner. Started getting nibbles right away, but no big takes. Finally snared that poor little yellow perch, in front of the UW boat rental place, whch I put to use as bait.Trolled around Union Bay some, then called it a day.

Porta-boat in the BIG water, oh Yeah! How was your batter after the long troll back against the wind?

Hey, Quad. The trusty Trojan battery, in its 4th year of service, held up like champ. When I put it on the charger afterwards, the level shown by the needle on the amps meter was not the worst I have seen. One thing I have found is that it helps to take the battery off of the trickle charger, and back on to the main charger the night before. There seems to be noticable room to charge shown on that meter, so my trickle charger is not keeping it fully charged.
