Only caught one trout in about 3 hours. My friend that was with me did the same, only one fish. Almost 30,000 fish planted this year but it seems like this is the hardest year to catch any fish. Maybe its just because we haven't had any real hot weather to warm up the water, I don't know. I tried using a few different color Kastmaster lures, on the top and letting them sink a bit before retrieving. Tried different speeds of retrieve. No Luck. I tried varying the depth I was fishing with a bobber from 5 ft. to 30 ft. since I was using a bobber stopper. Not much luck either. I tried using a smaller hook and a smaller piece of bait. Nothing seemed to work or make any difference. I always use 2 lb leader with a 4 lb main line. I am going to switch to another brand leader and may go down to 1 lb test too. Probably will try this Memorial Day weekend. Maybe all the birds(cormorants) that dive into the water got them, who knows. Maybe they got out of the lake entirely.
