Hey all,
The "puddle" still continues to produce fair numbers of Rainbows. Nothing of any size, but "lots" of fun. Trolled "anything" will get you into them.
The water is at that perfect temperature where anything that gets hooked goes completely crazy.
The Rock Bass are whacking my spinners with gusto. Some of them are reaching the 1 lbs. mark. A black Rooster Tail with a silver spinner seems to be their favorite, but just about anything whipped past their hideouts is likely to get hit.
A few Perch are being caught, but not enough for a BBQ just yet.
The water was really clear yesterday and I was able to take a gander at the bottom. There is so much structure in this lake it's ridiculous. Logs and stumps make up the majority of it, though there's enough "garbage" present to be significant.
I heard a rumor that a few Largemouth still reside here. The lake is ultra-clear and cold, with very little shoreline structure, so it'd be an amazing feat if someone were to hook and land, what is sure to be a trophy "hawg".
