Another fantastic trip and experience at Jack's Resort on Jameson Lake. My good friend Jim and I have been fishing Jameson for 10 years now and usually go the last week of May. We have had wonderful success and this year was no exception. 20 hours of fishing.

For the past four years Jim's Nephew Chris has joined us and I have brought someone as well. This year Mike who I have known for over 35 years was my boat partner. Mike and I hooked 120 fish the first day, 92 the second and 25 on the morning of our departure. Most fishing was with chronomids, but we did well trolling flies and anchoring and casting and retrieving flies as well. Olive Woolleys and #10 black Woolleys Buggers did well. Experiment with colors. Historically "chromers" work well here. We fished water 4.5 to 12 feet of depth. These fish are excellent fighters. All fish were release with the help of barbless hooks.

The time spent at the resort is worth the trip. Ginger and Anna of Jack's Resort are excellent hosts and the food is outstanding! The Resort Store has a great selection of flies that work. If you don't have fly tackle, tie a fly on that spinning rod and troll. Adjust the depth as needed. You can also fish them from shore below a float.
