Another great day! Decided to be a glutton for punishment and wake up early for some fishing on a work day (I work swing shift). Got on the lake around 630, working the east bank south from the boat launch. Threw jigs for awhile with no luck, decided to go for a slower presentation and switched to a weightless senko. Not long after (following a slow 10 count to ensure that senko was on the bottom) I felt a tap-tap... and a miss. Not losing composure I drifted in closer and saw her. I pitched the senko to her again, saw the head turn and game on! 5 lbs, 1 oz and my first largie of 2011! Continued on to catch a 3 lbs 12 oz bigmouth a little further on. Caught em around docks and grass on points. Saw several others laying on beds but couldn't get another take before I had to leave and get ready for work. So glad I sacrificed sleep to go out! Water temp was 60 and no wind. Pics are in the Not trophy bass thread. Tight lines all! Ocktane is back... finally...(I hope the luck continues)!
