Had a nice outing on Lake Sammamish on Saturday with clients Tony Vitale and his wife Marilyn. I've been out with them a few times this year on Sammamish and we were finally able to get into a few nice fish. The weather stayed fairly stable, and the water temps ranged from 56 to 59 degrees, depending on which section of the lake we were fishing. The fishing is still pretty slow overall, but the smallies are just starting to move up to make their beds, and they are super skittish right now.
We spent the majority of the day alternating between reaction baits and soft plastic lizards and jigs, concentrating our efforts on pre-spawn areas in the 5-10 foot depth range. At the end of the day we tallied 2 nice largemouth including this pig Tony landed and a really nice smallmouth for Marilyn. Thanks Tony and Marilyn for a fun day out there, always a pleasure to spend a day in the boat with you two!
See you out on the water!
