Day 1 of a 3 day trip. We were looking for largemouth or smallmouth, but conditions lead us to hit the flooded willows, mainly targeting largemouth. The weather was beautiful, mid 70's with moderate winds. Water temps were around 60 in the northwest end shallows, and in the low 50's at the south end shallows. Both ends were inlets on this trip, since the Similkameen is flooding and the Sinlahekin is flowing in too. The water was at it's "full" level (up to the high water mark on the rocks, and "up" 7 feet according to the folks at Chopaka Lodge. The largemouth we did find were around the trees and the brush, and they wanted Senkos. We didn't find any smallmouth, and we didn't try for kokanee. The perch were numerous, large, and aggressive, but we were not targeting them. They were on the outside edges of the brushy areas. We each caught two bass. I didn't have any pictures of the bass on my camera, so it's just scenery pics this time.
