These are the slab crappie pictures of our slabs from my previous weekend Potholes report.These fish fell to 2" micro minnows on watermelon/ silver (baby bass) jigheads with my custom baby bass forage minnow coloration. These minnow jigs are very life like and on a recent trip I had a 12" jet black male crappie swim up and take the minnow jig in water barely 2 feet deep. We tight lined these jigs along a 16 foot ledge with 6 lb P line flourocarbon and Okuma SST ultra lite rods. Every bite was solid, with the jigs literally in the back of the crappie's throats. They're the next best thing to having real minnows! Good luck out there guys. Jiggy .
