Liberty was fun today. I am visiting from Seattle and my friend took me out on his Bass Cat. We immediately found smallmouth on beds and hooked into two decent smallmouth within 20 minutes or so after launch, maybe 2.5 pounds or so. Caught 1-2 pounders under docks throughout the day. The largemouths are also setting up their beds. We cruised by some LMs lathargically patrolling their beds but they were tough getting to bite. We caught two what I'd guess 3-something pounders first cast at some beds - one was in about 2 feet of water and the other 6 or so. I guess some were angry and some weren't.
