Got to lake at about 4 o'clock-water clarity still good (4to 5 foot) but still high for this time of year-water temps 65 to 68 degrees-slight wind on the lake that increased towards dark with bright sunny skies- Most productive lure Boogie bait with a pork trailer -depth most fish found 2 to 3 foot-Saw for the first time this year on this lake the spawning sites. I caught a male bass off one nest that weighted 3 lbs and another fish skipping the bait under an over hanging brush pile which weighted out to 4lbs1oz -

Haven't got to fish Silver this year. Out board blew up last year after rebuild re builder and i didn't think it would last long but made it almost trough last season. Have been fishing smaller lakes around Thurston Co. area. Have been doing OK so far. Largest 2 fish so far have been both over 7lbs both caught on Mothers day weekend with 4 5 and 6pder added on too.Seems that i can't catch a smaller fish this year they have all been over 3 pds. Boogie bait and sinko type plastics have been the best producers so far this year. Got friends that fish Silver the same way i do and they haven't did really well yet. That includes a couple of tournaments i heard about catches that were only one or two fish caught. Looking for stripped block for 40 hp Force outboard 50 hp blocks are the same also just the carburetor is larger. Miss running around larger lakes with outboard. Need a new boat about ready to sell a 1938 war model BSA motorcycle to buy a new bass boat.
