Wow.. got to the lake at 5:30.... Taking my friend Roy and his son, who is fishing for the first time. Too bad I chose this lake to go too! First thing you notice is the rotten, horrible smell. Get the boat on the water, and then you see why. Pea soup.. the whole lake.. covered with this green slime. My gear was totally covered with this slime.... tried trolling across the lake... gear was fowled. It seems like it is runoff from the dairy farm above the lake.. I'm not sure... but I think the county should really look into that. I won't go back for quite awhile. Too bad... I've had good luck at this lake before.
