Well, we fished with one pole from the dock this afternoon. It was a major downpour the entire time. That didn't seem to slow the action at all. We caught six but kept 5. We let a little guy go that was barely hooked. We fished for about 45 minutes. It seemed that we did best by just making sure we copied what all the other successful guys were using. Power eggs seemed to do the trick. It didn't seem to matter what color we used. It was a bit surprising to see a lot of fish around still two weeks after opening day.

I thought if you were using bait then it doesn't matter if you keep them, they count towards your limit.

I'm new to this whole thing, I want to make sure I'm following the rules- a fishing ticket is not something I want to get, hehe.

cheers!

Just fead the pamphlet and check online form time to time. Things change based on time of year and where you are.

I suspect that there were two folks fishing with one rod so they could have brought 10 fish to the dock with bait before calling it quits.

Jr. and Sr. I find the best fishing is a couple of weeks after the opener as the new planters have been weeded out and the larger holdovers are more readily available.
