The son wanted to get some fish went for stockers. We started off at Geneva. There were three other boats and a shore full of people with no fish. I didn't mark any either so we took off after about 45 min. Maybe the state didn't stock it yet. The water is starting to get an algea bloom goin.
Once we arrived at Trout it was slow at first I was flatlining the smallest size dicknite in green/white and the son had a large dicknite used as a flasher with a worm behind it. He got his limit pretty quick but only kept one. I got one on the green/white but did better on gold.
He wasn't very happy about stopping after catching his limit even though they were released, but that is the rules. I explained the high mortality rate with bait and he understood as well as a 12 year old can. The one he kept was hooked deep. All the rest were lip hooked.
He did pretty good with his patience so I threw a senko under a few docks before we left and got one dink about 13in.
