By the chart, Fishreminder.com, the bite was to be between about 1400 and 1600. On the lake shore line well before the hit time. Bottom fishing with worms and balls of fire. No hits, went over to marshmallows and bof with good luck. Got a few hits and landed one 16 inch brookie and lost one coming into shore. Got a couple more hits but was to late to set the hook. Fishing with 30 inches of leader and barbless hook with less than 1/2 ounce of lead. Changing out marshmallow with every retreat of line. Fishing were biting every gently and made pole holding a must do. They would bite and be gone. Weather was winding and some sun. Lake is very high for water level and still very cold, fishing should pick up in warming days ahead. Remember to catch what you can eat and let the little ones back into the lake. They didn't plant all that many in our lakes this year, so its best to catch and release, and a few for the frying pan. Enjoy!
