I hired a boat and chauffeur (John Thomas) and fished this lake for the first time with friends Glen, Cami, and my grandson William. We started after 4pm and ended around 8pm. It was very windy when we started but it died down. We got 13 in the boat. William got to reel in his first boat caught fish and his first ever Kokanee. I think he is hooked on fishing! The size of the fish are very nice but we didn’t have a ruler so I can’t say how long they were.
John used Dick Nite dodgers (with DNA) of all different colors, beaded spinners with corn or maggots. It seemed like maggots won out. Wannafish A Lure Gilded Lilly caught a few fish, too.
It was a very fun time and William has a fish calling song and dance that seemed to work! Not only that, he sang the clouds and rain away. It was a great way to spend an evening.
