We hit Banks for a 3 days of fishing Fri., Sat. and Sunday hoping the water temp. was up and moving fish in but no such luck. Water was 45 to 47 depending on your location, Sunday it finally reached 49. The wind was blowing 2 days so we fished inside from the airport towards Steamboat. No bass or Walleye but the RB's were awesome. Smallest being 16", largest 21" most taking with a wedding ring but caught fishing on perch pattern Rapela, Pro troll trout killer w/ e-chip, green and silver F5 flat fish. It was slow but we caught really nice fish so it was all good. Had one hit the Rapela out about 120' so hard it ripped the rod and reel out of the boat, it was amazing and it also sucked. I saw thefish jump it was larger than the fish in the pic. If anyone happens to pick a blue Fenwick rod w/ a Michel 300 hooked to it off the bottom let me know it used to have about a 5 pound RB hooked to it. The son in law caught the biggest but I told him I wanted my pic. takin with it.

That Big Bow' is using your Fenwick rod as a tooth pick right about now...(I feel for you bro.) I once lost two rods in one day to rainbows on Moses Lake. Got one of them rods back when I managed to snag the line with another spare rod and line I had in my truck. It still had a pissed off 23" trout attached to it! Go figure?.Jiggy

I tried to troll through the water for about an hour with 4 rods hoping to snag it but no way. I think the fish hit the channel and kept going.

That's what they make rod holders for! Thanks for the report, it is always nice to see some trout pics out of Banks, especially from the north end.

You are right about the rod holders. I have 4 and need 5 obviously. It wasn't easy to admit it happened so I'll take a ribbing about it.

Nice bows! Thanks for the info on fishing Banks. There was a time when large silvers were the target, have you heard if any being caught? P.S. who need a stinkin rod holder, that's what the make tackel stores for!!
