We were hoping the walleye might be on the move. They aren't. We covered depths from 85 to 15, without a bite. Jigs of many colors, and spinners with crawler. We caught one rainbow in about 70 feet on a jig. Water temp was 44 or 45 depending on location. I didn't have my thermometer so I don't know what the temp was at any depth. We fought the wind pretty hard, but are now learning to use the drift sock to our advantage. I say that.....but maybe not since we didn't catch a fish! We fished the south end, from Chase Draw south. We only saw one other boat, and it was near mid-lake, heading north. I was hoping that Mcfisherson and Uncle Wallace would show me the magic, but I think they're holding out on me! We had a good time anyway.
