Hit American for the trial run of MaxumCory's boat now equipped with downriggers. Spent most of the afternoon-evening workin out the kinks of his boat and learning how to use the gear (those release clips are a pain!) Missed one early on and ended up landing one kokanee trolling a qwikfish in about 30 ft. We'll do better once we get the hang of proper speed and depth. At least we got the skunk off his boat!

lolol..way to go...dang DRs 'n clips can be a pain...you'll get it...oh you'll drown some lil 1s tow'n 'em around and not even know they were there ...but you have to set deep in the clip...make it tougher than you'd think to "pop"...or you'll spend 1/2 your time reset'n because 1 just swats at the bait...1 hint is to learn to watch for your rod tip bounce'n less...if your used to see'n the action when everything is run'n right you'll be able to tell when weeds or a dink have killed the "throb"....course what your wait'n for is to see the rod buck'n hard in the rodholder and the line rippp'd violently outta the clip..slack gone and drag screeeeam'n before you can even grab it..lolol...i always wondered..if jaws came up a nailed a dink that i was drown'n if that would be concidered use'n illeagle bait!!!??...boat set up in the pic looked good/comfy....GL out there...DOG
