Opening Day General Lakes!!! Got a late start on purpose didn't want to fight the crowds at the public boat launch so got to lake around 10:00 a.m. Fished till 3:00 p.m. Water temp at public launch at beginning was 50 degrees and at the end off day 53. Weather was sunny in the low 50s with a little cloud cover passing by and intermittent sprinkles of rain early in the day. Water clarity was about 3 to 4 foot with really high water for this time of year. Best lures Chatter bait and Senco type plastic. Fish seemed to be holding on the outside edges of protruding brush piles coming from the shore. Got four takes from my lure presentation for the day. 2 which i Know where bass and the other 2 i think the trout were messing with me for i saw trout following my lure to the boat. The two bass that i did hook into The smaller of the 2 threw the hook with an aerial show which was hooked on a sinko and the larger one caught on a chatter bait Weighted in at 6lbs. 2ozs. (note that the tail fin is part way gone from last years spawn.Did not see any blood or new tears in fins from this year yet.)
