Well, I know that carp haven't woke up in green lake yet, and didn't want to fight crowds so I went to the Bog today. I fished with nightcrawlers, bread and corn for carp, and with my other pole I tried to catch some bass with a senko. Stayed for a couple of hours and got nothing but little nibbles on my nightcrawler. I think it must have been some of the baby blue gill that live in there. The water was warmer than other lakes, but no dice. This next month will be the ticket for some good carping when they move to the shallows to eat and spawn.

And I know what you're thinking, why's he fishin for carp? Because they get HUGE! And they fight like it too. And my wife likes to eat 'em. Anyways, I think I'll stick to Green Lake for the triploids until they get fished out in the next week or so. Tight Lines!

You should try Bitter Lake. The carp have been pretty active there recently. I've seen them jumping lately and just today, I saw one take something off the surface. The south end is really shallow and muddy, but the lily pads are starting to bud so watch out for shallow snags.

Hahahaha, yea, it's also my moms favorite too. WEird weird people. I've got a fridge full of salmon and steelhead, and she's like "but they're soooo cute!" But then she likes trout better than salmon, and perch more than trout, so she's just peculiar in her taste. If I get one I'll make sure to send Jack a care package from you MotoBoat, I'm sure he'll love it. Are there common carp in Bitter or grass carp. Someone told me when I was at Haller lake earlier this month that the carp were all grass carp and you weren't allowed to touch 'em.
