i got on the lake about1:00pm, started trolling 20'-50' from shore(as long as there wasn't a dock in the way) in depths ranging from 4' to 30' with an f5 rainbow trout colored rapala, 200' into my first pass wham, a triploid clobbered my lure, got it to the boat, it self released. i continued on for a ways, turned around and started the same pass again..wham same spot, it dragged me into a log, it got away. luckily i got my lure back. did another pass, wham, this time i got it to the boat, nice fat 18 or so inch triploid, very nice fight. the bite dropped off for me for about 20 mins, it picked up when we sarted moving to the far end. for a little while it was one after another 6-9inch rainbows, a couple of them swollowed my rapala, so i kept 3 8inchers (why an 8inch trout would swallow, let alone eat a 3"trout rapala is beyond me..)fished for a few more hours with 1 fish left to make a limit, then after deciding on the next pass being the last one for today, i went through the area i caught my first one at, went by it, no tugs.. about 200' down shore tap, tap, wham, got another 17" triploid while fighting the wind, and just about being put to shore. it was an awesome day. i will definatly fish this lake again. the air was about 60 degrees, light to moderate gusts; around 3-5mph, very clear sky. they were biting 3-5ft under the surface.
