Decided to take advantage of the sunny window Sunday afternoon and try for more cutthroat and see if some kokanee were biting. Well, the first hour was nice, and then it was a windy convergence zone. We kept at it and still had fun with non-fishing company on board, taking pictures and exploring. Since last time the bite was on top, we just made it simple and left the downriggers back on land.
South end of Mercer had just a bit of bait hanging at about 20', so we worked that. Managed to get the only fish of the day, but biggest fish we've brought in at 23" and about 1.75 lbs.
Not sure if it's a full cutt or a cuttbow...
Strange part of the catch is the slice on the side - how the fish got it is a mystery, unless it whacked the presentation really good before hooking and the gamakatsu met up with his side....

Looks like a cutt to me....notice yellowish coloring on the edges of the fins. Check for teeth on the tongue. Many preditors in that big lake. Migh even be from an outboard motor prop!

Nice fish! I think you meant the weight to be 4.75lbs and not 1.75lbs, that fish isn't skinny enough to be under 4.

I was gunna say, I think that is a tad over 1.7 pounds lol.
