Fished Alder Lake from 11:30 until 2:00. The kokanee were not on the surface as they have been due to the warmer weather. We switched to a 1.5 ounce sinker, 2 blade hilderbrandt troll, and a wedding ring spinner. The bait shop was out of maggots so we used earthworms...it did not seem to matter. We started up the Little Nisqually arm of the reservoir where Tacoma Power has created a new "no wake" zone. What a great place to get away from the jet skis! We caught 6 cuttthroat around 11 inches and 6 kokanee about the same size. We had about 20 pulls of line out. We went down by the dam and tried our luck there. We landed 9 more nice kokanee in about an hour and lost about 7 others - out about 40-45 pulls. Only 3-4 other boats out. Hint use size 4 hooks - they don't pull out of the those soft mouths as easily.
