fished from 8 to 11.trolled long lining with 1 oz of weight with apex one one and needlefish onthe other.hooked one right at station and it self released.got another on about 100 yds down lake and got it to the boat.hooked right thru nose and bleeding hard.son wanted to whack it so i said ok,whack,whack into livewell it goes.we go home and i go to clean fish and it is alive and well in well.so i turn on airreator and cook dinner.well 3 hours later i go to turn off well and fish is still alive.i shut it down and go to bed.sunday (today)i get up and check on fish,still alive.so i run to samamish and release this tough fish.i even filled the well with tap water which had no effect on the fish.it was a long skinny cut.it swam away looking fine.tight lines.

So you abducted a fish, tortured it (whack wack), performed experiments on it (tap water), and sent it back home?....I'm sure it's friends are saying "There's Larry. He says he was abducted by aliens." as they roll their eyes. LOL. Maybe I won't be laughing at the Roswell folks from now on. :)

haha i cuaght a koke in riffe and whacked and put it in the live well and it was still alive for a bumpy ride home and decided to let it go in riife

way to go.
I think that alot of fish are wasted when they are tossed on ice and taken home "to freeze or smoke" and i encourage everyone to release more of these fabulous fish.
