Set out for bass on the shore, by the boat launch, throwing a trout pattern husky jerk which had caught me bass here before. After fan casting the area multiple times, I frustratingly changed my crankbait to a jointed, perch pattern rapala. First cast, a fish hit good but I missed the set. Next cast, fish on, after slow-rolling the lure for about 2 seconds. It didn't fight to hard, but I could tell it wasn't a dink. As it got closer to the shore I realized it wasn't a bass, but a 9 inch rainbow. Sweet! I've yet to catch trout on this lake. I turned him loose, didn't figure I could get much meat from him. Next cast, BAM! Better, bigger fish. Yet still a trout. 11.5 inches was the leagnth of this one. Bite was on for about 45 minutes, caught 6, released 2. Biggest was almost 12 inches, smallest was 10. good day.
