Fished Steilacoom again (fished here yesterday). Started around 11:00 a.m. or so and at 11:50 I caught a 3 pound 5 ounce Largie on a blue/black jig with a Netbait Paca chunk in pumpkin green. Fish was in 6 feet of water, which, at the time, was 51 degrees.

Other places in the lake sported temps. from 50 clear up to 56 in the cove on the southwest side of the lake.

Tried some dropshots and a little effort on a lipless crankbait, but this one fish was my only bite.

Have you fished it before? I should have given you a call, I still have your number, yet I have never talked to you, lol. Now that I have, sort of, kind of a bass boat, I will not be so embarrassed, haha.

Fish on!

Sure looks like a cool lake! Lipless cranks work well this time of year just above grass in 5-15 feet of water, but make sure you use a 7:1 or faster gear ratio reel or you're gonna get frustrated fast! Good detailed report, keep em comin'! B8

I've only fished Steilacoom once, but I've been told that there are some piggies in there. It's so close to my house, but American is even closer, so.....That lauch is a steep one!
