I decided that I better get out with the boss and pre-fish Roses for a big family group that I had scheduled on the 3rd. Sandy's retired now, so we made it out there at the "crack of 10:45 AM". We had to be back in by noon to make a grandkid babysitting appointment in Wenatchee. Andy would normally do this work so I asked him what I should do. He said: "drag some flies around with a wiggle fin in front. So I did. I also pulled some little Roostertails and a small broken back Rapala. Everything caught fish, but the most consistent combo (that I'll tie everything up with for tomorrow is a #8 Black Wooly Bugger with some sparkle in it. I put a 3/8oz bullet weight out front and let 'er rip. Speeds were from 1.7 to 3.4mph. Variation triggered 'em. We limited by 11:45. We fed these limits to our grandsons. The 6 year old wasn't too sure about it, but he got into 'em too. First time I've got to get Sandy out for a bit of fishing in a while. She's normally the one at home answereing the phone while I'm out fishing.
