another 1st report for downs . i am starting to feel obligated to break the ice and kick off the years reports . got on the water at 7 and got three in the boat by noon . 2 of the 3 were in less than 4 ft of water . and all were off the channel edges . 48 degree water temp . this lake is going to be on like donkey kong in 2 weeks !

AWSOME, good report man, i like this lake but only get to it maybe once a year if that. My personal best has come from there, 5.7lbs. May i ask what you were using? I will hope to be fishing it the first weekend in may. Thanks for the report and stay safe man.

all i will say is I was using a sexy bait ! Those in the know will know what that means . and early may is always a good time to fish downs . If the wind allows I am there every mothers day with my wife and usually boat 10-20 each .

I guess i am not in the know, but i think i might know what it is. I have heard of some 8 plus pounders being cought from there. WOw, that would be fun.

glad to see this report...i live south of pullman and usually fish the snake out of wawawai for smallies as its out my backdoor - fishing lakes for bass is new for me, last summer hit badger for largemouth and had a great time - what type of boat can you take on downs, i have an 8' livingston w/oars and an 18' customweld viper jet with a minnkota electric and a kicker, overkill but it fishes bass well :)

I run a 18'6 ranger with a 150 but generally dont light up my main motor in this pond . my bowmount is plenty
