Decided to fish Palmer for some Silvers since I did not fair to well at Ruffus the day before, One Rainbow all day fishing and had to resort to bait to catch it. Started the day early as there was high winds predicted later in the afternoon.Launched at split rock campground water temperature was 37 degreese and started trolling.Marked sveral schools of fish and things looked good, but after two hours and not one bite I decided to fish for anything that would bite.Went to the east end and anchored in 37 feet of water fishing a black marobou jig as soon as jig got close to the bottom it was fish on. The action from then on was non stop including two White Fish I cought way more than i wanted to clean. So it was catch and release till the wind became more than i wanted to deal with. They were nice size Jumbo perch, great day.

NIce batch of perch...well done! I'm not an expert by any means, but I believe those two are lake chub, also known as peamouth chub in some circles....the orange-ish red tint and green-ish stripe is absent on whitefish.

Nice job on those perch. Nothing like non-stop action and jumbos at that.
