This spring has shaped up to be some of the best panfish fishing forays I have yet to experience. The only downer is the amount of trash people are leaving behind. With the great weather , I expect the crappe and perch fishing to get only better on the ponds. Attention to detail is the key with many people striking out while others in the know do well consistantly Choose your depth, jig color and presentation for jumbo perch and decent sized crappie wisely and you'll score on panfish pictured in this report. Jiggy . .

Hey jiggy, sometime soon, let me know when you are heading out, I would love a few pointers. I think my technique and lure selection is lacking, to say the least. I seem to always fall back on the good ol' wordens rooster tails, and I have not had much experience or luck with all the other jigs in my tackle box. Thanks!

Nice batch of perch and Parana, Mr. Jiggins! The angle of the photo makes the crappie mouth look strange. Almost Parana or shad like.
