Well confirmed that fish plant by calling Columbia Basin Hatchery the other day and headed back out this morning. Set up at about 7:30 am, and instantly had action...missed that fish. About 20 minutes later another bite, drag set to loose missed him too. Finally landed first fish at about 9:00. Had a few smaller bites, but action died off as the sun rose further in the sky. At around noon, a family of...lets say....very rude, very tan, horchata drinking persons showed up at the point I was fishing off of and totally ran me out. I couldnt believe it...One guy actually moved my tackle bag to set up his chair. I had to laugh when they started hucking what looked to be 3-4 oz weights with nightcrawlers out to the middle of the lake. I was disgusted and gathered my things and ventured around to the other side of the cove. Anyway.....The fish started moving on the top of the water about the time the bite died in close to shore. Had no luck on bites casting assorted lures and flies with a clear bubble. I am headed out again in the morning, early. Plan on being fishing by 5:30 am. Will post back on my results.
