Woke up about 9 Sat morning to the sun coming through my window. Got up real quick, put some shoes on, ran outside, noticed not one cloud in the sky and thought to myself... Yup. Im going fishing.
After looking at some reports on here I settled on Blackmans. This was my first trip to this lake, and I am somewhat impressed. I love 3 docks, and bank angling avaliable, and will bring my boat back next time. There was lots of pressure yesterday, so I can only imagine how much more it gets later on.
First stop was Hill park, casting every color of dick night, spinner, and superduper I had. After seeing a 4lbs lost on a worm, and a 15incher or so on power bait I switched over to power egs for the next hour. NOTHING.
Drove over to the boat launch and power egged it off the bottom, put some eggs under a bobber, and NOTHING.
A boat came in with two guys and three fish. Saw them take a pic with about a 5 pounder.
