Very Very bad news! The damn Cormorants have decimated this lake! There are still 60+ of them working the lake over and the fish I am graphing are so few now I think even the trout that were just planted by the state have been eaten by these greesy black devils. I have pretty good electronics and I am not seeing fish even hugging the bottom. This is the time of year I normally start my annual fish counting and I have never seen anything like this in my 30+ years fishing this lake. The damn state will not allow us to shoot these things, so I guess they can live with disgruntled fishermen and loss of sales on licensing as a result. I was really looking forward to a banner year on Crappie and I guess so were the Cormorant. The lake is a good 4-5' higher than normal, so I am holding out hope that the fish are getting in under the muskeg and tucking in under the new brushy cover especially on the N. end. Talked to another fisherman with a nice rig up from Kitsap and he was not graphing anything either and got skunked as well. I really hope the legislature passes that law allowing the use of silencers...
