Gordon Lueck of Lacey was nice enought to bring his grandson's Marcus (10) and Mikhail (8) Bussey out fishing with Jeff and Me today. With the cold front moving in, the morning had a bite to it. We had a couple of snow flurry squalls and temps were in the high 20's and low 30's. The bite was steady all morning. We took pics with 6 fish and caught one more while cleaning fish. The hottest lure was a B2 squid rig with 2 hooks and a wiggle fin. The front hook was baited with a piece of Nothern Pikeminnow. The big fish was an 11 lb 3oz fish that bit a Chartreuse Splatterback Kingfisher Lite spoon by Silver Horde. We also caught fish on baited Cha Cha Squidders. We had just as many fish pull off as we got in the boat. All in all, a great and memorable time for Gordon to spend some time with his grandson's. I think after listening to his book review, I'm going to check out the Master & Commander series by O'Brien.
Take care,
Anton
