Looking at the calendar this morning realized, I have a string of gunshows coming up so the weather was giving us an opportunity to plant the half dozen christmas trees we put together for Crappie structure and test out my new electronics. My son and I headed to Leland a little later than I would like to but out we went. First thing we noticed is the lake is really up, I would say about 4' higher than normal, next thing we noticed was about 60 plus Cormorant hanging around, and that is a bad sign. We finished our drops and broke out the rods and began searching in earnst with the new electronics showing the way, but we pinged few fish, far fewer than we should have. I left the lake with this bad feeling that Cormorant stew was on the future menue. Ended the day by pulling on the rope to align the boat up on the roller as the wind was having it's way with us and the rope broke, my son said I looked like I was shot out of a cannon as I went flying backwards hitting the winch and ending up in the water on my back. Appears that I chipped some bone right on my elbow, reminding me of an old hockey injury. Guess I should have replaced that rope the last time I thought about it. Klahowya!

BMGW. I hope you're doing alright sir. Those black, greasy fish killin" Commorants are a bad sign. They've wiped out entire lakes in the Columbia Basin. Moses Lake had a WFDW hazing program to scare them off of the recovering Lake. Anyway, recoup, recover and I hope to read more reports from you in the future. Jiggy
