I saw "King Fisher's" report and thought I'd add my .02 on this lake. In reading the initial description of the lake, I thought I would give it a shot. I can honestly say in about 4 hrs I caught 5 bass all in the 3-6lb range (I say that because 2 of the 'big ones' shook the hook right in front of me and I wasn't able to land them!). The important thing about this - is that this was in May 2003. I have fished here about 6 times since then, and each trip catch 1-2 bass about 1.5lbs or smaller. So, best time as far as I can tell is to get out there next May - I'm sure they were bedding because they were all against the shoreline and they were mad. Caught all of them on crack-back rapala, and since them have tried combo of rapala/plastic worms to catch the others (but again, have not had much luck since May). I was not going to post anything because I thought I had found 'my own secret lake'...but since it hasn't been lucky anymore thought I'd tell everyone....
