Launched at Mercer Island, OUCH! This launch is now $11.00 for a single day launch fee!
Speaking of that, can anyone confirm whether or not car without trailer needs to pay the same $11.00 fee if you park in the launch parking lot (non trailer spot of course?)

Fished with fellow walakes angler Corey, sorry Corey, forget your avitar name (Coretron22?)
from the launch at 0845 we headed over to I-90 bridge, trolled apex lures, brads cut plug mini herring, maybe a couple other things, no fish seen nor heard. Went around N. end of the island then down through the East channel. Corey had one hit in this area. Went to S. end of the island and into the green pea soup water. (cedar river still puking) caught one small rainbow while coming off from the downrigger, needlefish behind small flasher. Back up through the East channel with no bites. Very tough day of fishing on lk. WA. Weather was decent considering how it's been. Chalk another day up to meeting quality people through this website.

Great to meet another Walakes.com member, learned a few things about my own setup as well as my first downrigger experience. Thanks again Quadfather. Despite the lack of much action, it was nice to be in a boat on the water.

Ouch on the $11, I launched out of Kenmore saturday, state game ramp, still no additional fee required, just the pass that comes with a fishing license. I had my non-fishing inlaw with me so didn't wet a line, just made a run to Renton for chowder at Ivars, good day on the water all the same. Looked like I was the only one to launch at Kenmore on saturday, no other vehicle/trailer in the lot.

Quad, FYI the launch fee is for the use of the launch only, this holds true with most any pay launch in the State. You are expected to pay a fee for using the launch, whether you park at the launch or not. There is no fee for just parking your vehicle.
