Decided to try Goodwin for some Bas and maybe trout.Bass was my goal.Went to my first spot and graphed some fish in 30 feet.Rigged up a drop-shot with a 4.5"Roboworm.On my first cast,I hooked a hudge fish.Thought I had a Smallie till half way up this fish went ballistic.It was a great fight.Ended up being a 21",4 pound monster of a trout.No net either but was able to land it.God nice pink fillets.unfortunitally it was the first cast jinx.not another fish the rest of the day.Tried alot od Crankbaits,Swimbaits,and worms and jigs.Beautiful day though.50 degrees and like a mirror out there.

glad too see someone got a fish out of goodwin .I have been up there 3 times in the last month and have only had 1 taker ,but lost it after 6 sec. or so not even a complete bull ride.Found many pockets suspended ,but ?????????????????

This is one of the toughest winter lakes I've ever seen.I have no idea where the bass go?Usually start getting fish in march.Not much longer to wait.
