I was getting cabin fever so I decided to head out to lake Sawyer to see if I could get any action. I fished powerbait for the first hour or so with no results. During this time I noticed a few huge mosquitos flying around and noticed a fish rise about 20 yards from shore. Luckily I had some of my flies with me and one of them happened to be a mosquito pattern. I had to make due with what I had, so I put a three foot leader of 2 pound test on and attached a small float near the swivel. After about a half hour of slowly working the fly I finally caught the sucker - a 7.5 inch cutt. Nothing to brag about, but it sure felt good to get out and go fishing!
