me and 2 friends arrived around noon today. It took me a bit to figure out how to get the boat in the lake ,i did not know where the boat launch was lol, anyways i found it and NICE there was about 40' of ice it finally broke from the boats pressure out by the end of the pier. Slow rolled out to the middleish area and tried trolling with a dick night topped with a worm, friends had a spoon with a rainbow pattern and the other tried a tan deer fly for a bit. talked to another guy fishing from a pier and he gave me a tip or 2.THANKS B 2 U. I went back out and noticed some lil winged fly fluttering on the surface. I opened up my tackle box and viola i had a fly that looked almost identical to the flutterer. I tied it on and put a dab of orange and pink swirled extra scent power bait .About 30 min. later and damnit i got a snag,no wait its a slow cold fish got it to the boat and the perfect relese i didnt even touch it .If i would have got it in the boat i would have had a pic. anyways the sun went behind the trees and i went home to plot and plan on some salt action .TIGHTLINES everyone and a happy new year.
