Arrived at Timm Ranch boat launch at 8 AM nobody there no boat trailers or anybody fishing from shore.made me wonder about my decision to fish R.W since not many favorable reports have been posted from that area. Headed for the lower pens water temperature 53 degrees and a slight wind. Pulled up to the upper pen 25 feet out casting toward the pens using 1/8 oz black marabou jigs with a good amount of current. It was not long before my first fish a nice 2lb tagged fish. The action was steady all day long on the same size fish and most were tagged with green tags, all were released to fight another day. I think i got lucky and got into some new released fish but ended the day with two really nice fish before the wind drove me of the water One boat was fishing a half mile below me at anchor ,he left after a view hours a few boats passed by me but nobody stopped to fish.A great day at the river.

Thanks Ganno for the update, as lots of folks are watching the RW reports to see when the bite has changed. Those are some nice fish, and good to hear the release of the trout has taken place. The workers had mentioned some 4# plus fish be slated for release also. Did you stay at the Cabin by the river? if so, how was the experience.
Take care and thanks again.

triploids right? How is the bank fishing there are rofus? Or can i use my 12' aluminum with a small trolling motor while using those jigs? I know a few years back a pin broke open and i was fishing with those jigs from the bank and was fishing some back currnet from the bank and had two days with 50+ fish, Crazzy frishing. Just cerious what the past bank fisherman have done there and were that might be at? Stay safe and warm out there.
