Fly Fished this lake in the evening. The lake is very low, we had to carry my boat about 50 yards to set it in the water.
The fish were right on the bottom, and seem to be hitting almost anything buggy. I fished both nyerge's nymphs and wooley worms. The fish were grabbing the fly on the sink and swallowing it. 4 of the 5 I caught were hooked on my start of the retrieve, and the flies were in the stomach.
I hear others did well on dries, and spoons and spinners. It seems to be a good time to be fishing.
The stomachs of the fish I took were all empty, so they are hurting for something to eat. I guess that's why they are eating my flies.
