Launched at Magnusson at 8:30 am, I wanted to go to Lake Sammamish but was short on time. Turns out that I should have gone there. Went down to the N. Side of 520 bridge. Trolled a few passes East/West. The first time I put my line in the water I had just let out about 100' behind the boat.. I was reaching for the ball (downrigger) to place my line in the clip. It looked like I had hooked a fish just while letting the line behind the boat. I attempted to assertain if I had a fish... 2nd thought was that he was gone. Turns out I did have a small Kokanee on the line which then dragged around the lake unkowingly, which constitutes to not really fishing, ya know?
That was the only fish of the day. Saw a couple of large fish roll on the surface. Plenty of bait balls along the bridge with larger fish on the sonar feeding.
Trolled soft pastics and apex lures along with Needlefish. Pretty day for a boat ride, that's about it.
The Koke was able to swim off in the end.
