Started off at the Tilton but it was way too packed for our liking so we headed to some swamp along Hwy. 12,nothing there either.So with a little coaxing we decided to hit Riffe.Started off really slow but eventually hooked up with 13-15 silvers,kept 10 between the three of us.All i have to say it beats this extreamly crappy river fishing season.

Is it just me or has Riffe had a really good year for anglers? I made a couple trips up there and couldn't keep the fish off. Every report I read says the same thing. Seems to have been down for a couple years but this year Riffe seems to be back in a big way.

you guys talking about the silvers there>? in the 15-18inch range?

Yeah bazzdude,most of the ones we caught were in that range. We did see what looked to be dead mature silvers on the bank that were in the 24-30 in. range.Not sure if they get that big in there or they somehow made it through one of the dams.

I have fished Riffe off and on for the last 25 years. This year, hearing it was one of the best years , of course I didnt get to fish it at all.
