Trying to salvage what's left of the bass season, I headed up to buck lake in hopes of coaxing a big one. Started with a rubber frog on top, as the lake is full of lily pads and bullrushes. No takers, so switched to a blue and green mini king spinnerbait and nailed one on the second cast, about a pound. No more on the spinnerbait for 30 minutes, so I switched to a silver husky-jerk and got one on the second cast about the same size. Fished for another hour with some other stuff, but had to leave and didn't get a chance to put in the proper effort. Love that little lake.
