What a difference a week makes! Last time out couldn't keep em off the hook, this time it was very slow. It appears to me the Crappie have now left the shallows and are schooling up over bottom structure, average water temp was 65. Graphed some nice slabs and schools but the bite was soft, a lot of lift bites, still managed to catch a dozen or so, but not a one was in my 10" length limit, so back they all went. The blue green algea is now showing itself pretty good, so be warned, don't let your pets drink the water. Well I may have left the lake with an empty cooler, but came home with some nice Chantrelle mushrooms after stopping at a secret spot and picking for about 5 minutes. Gotta love this time of year. Klahowya!
