I went out to Chain Lake 12:30pm until 5pm. I quit early was hungry and had other things to do. I was only one on the lake which I always like. I launched and cast out to deep water between big log by launch and lilly pads on left...fish on 1 minute in next cast another fish on. The fish were out deep and patrolling. It got a little windy and some fish were tight to cover due to sunshine and rest we caught out away from shore over weed beds. I was catching all dinks 6-7" and moved further out and cast next to lilly pads and bam larger fish 10" Bass.

I caught fish on perch colored rapala top water and swimming it back to boat by doing the old pause and go. I also got 7 on green mini rat l trap just swimming it back.

I ended up 21 Bass and lost 7 that were on the line. Nothing big just 10" but lots of action. Story of my year almost 500 fish this year but only 3 14" bass. Guess I am going for quanity rather then quality this year.

All fish catch and release.

Good fishing bass are biting this time of year...
